Utilities needed to support RAID arrays on your LRP system.
- See the linux Software-RAID-HOWTO for details on setting up RAID arrays
- If you are booting LRP from a RAID1 mirrored array, be sure to edit
/etc/raidboot.conf appropriately
- Two kernels are available. They are identical except for compression
(the smaller kernel uses UPX compression, while the larger one uses the
default kernel compression).
- Make sure you read the linux Software-RAID-HOWTO, and if you plan on
booting from a RAID device, the Boot + Root + Raid + Lilo : Software Raid
HOWTO. Both are available from the Linux
Documentation Project
- Read the latest LRP Hard
Disk HOWTO, which covers adding SCSI, and RAID support to a kernel at
boot, without requiring kernel recompiles.
