ISC BIND - This is a DNS server you can
use if you want to host a domain on the internet, or provide a local server
to resolve names on your internal net.
- dhclient
-
ISC DHCP client compiled to run under
linux 2.2.x (i.e. Materhorn/Eiger). Use this package to automatically
configure your external interface if you have a dynamic IP assigned by your
ISP's DHCP server.
- dhcpd
-
ISC DHCP server compiled to run under
linux 2.2.x (i.e. Materhorn/Eiger). Use this package if you want a DHCP
server running on your LRP system so you can automatically configure your
internal workstations.
- dnscache
-
This is a tiny (22K) package that runs as a caching DNS server on your
LRP box. Reduces your reliance on your ISP and speeds up queries.
- Extended Scripts
-
I created some extended configuration scripts to support multiple
external IP address, a private IP address DMZ network, and some other new
features. These scripts are useful if you have several external IP
addresses, and would like to set up DMZ servers without paying your ISP
big bucks for business class service.
- Hard Disk Add-on

Everything you need to know to turn that 100 Meg high-tech paperweight
IDE drive into storage for your LRP system.
- ifconfig
- The classic ifconfig and route commands.
- IPSec 1.91

The FreeS/WAN implementation of IPSec for linux, useful for setting up VPN's and other
secure networking.
- LaBrea

on a floppy.
- mawk

Sniffit is a robust non-commercial network protocol analyzer or packet
sniffer.
- thttpd
-
thttpd is a simple, small, portable, fast, and secure HTTP server.
- Utilities
-
This is a collection of various binaries I didn't want to make into LRP
files of their own. Lots of useful bits & pieces for hard-core
LRP users.
- webalizer
-
The Webalizer is a fast, free web server log file analysis program. It
produces highly detailed, easily configurable usage reports in HTML format,
for viewing with a standard web browser.
- weblet
-
A set of shell-scripts that function as a web interface to your LRP
box. Read log files and check system status from your internal network
with any standard web browser. Small enough you can probably squeeze
it on your nearly full LRP disk!
